Associate Chief Academic Officer oversees one or several areas within academic affairs programs. Provides academic vision and leadership. Being an Associate Chief Academic Officer requires a master's degree. Typically reports to Chief Academic Officer. The Associate Chief Academic Officer manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Minimum Education/Certifications
M.D. and Board Certification required
Advanced degree in Healthcare Management preferred (MBA/MHA/MMM etc.)
Demonstrated advanced course work in management preferred.
ACPE or American Board of Medical Management certification preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
At least 10 years of medical practice experience required. Previous experience as a CMO and/or Medical Director strongly preferred. Previous management experience at a senior level preferred. Experience and knowledge with clinical information systems preferred.
