DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a desired census and waiting list, communicate with the community, travel, speak before groups, solve family problems, complete, and maintain admission records and documents, and work with referral agencies, organizations, and institutions.
The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Continuing Education: Attend in-service education within the facility.
Education: At least a high school diploma, two or more years
of college preferred.
Experience: Health care, human services, public relations, social
services.

Position Qualifications:
1. Formal and/or on the job training in the performance of Admission Director.
2. At least 2 years of experience in Admissions and Public Relations.
3. A genuine interest in the residents, families, and employees.
4. Public relations and community awareness skills.
5. Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of computer and business software.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Present centers in a positive manner to educate the public and the professional healthcare community in all aspects of the services provided.
2. Dedicate no less than 75% of working hours to direct interaction with the market community promoting services of Blue Spokane Health and Rehabilitation.
3. Maintain an 80% conversion rate from referrals to admissions. Achieve and maintain 90% or more occupancy at all centers or meet or exceed census budgets.
4. Maintain a good professional rapport with all staff members at Spokane Health and Rehabilitation including members of Community Relations teams and others relevant to the position.
5. Respect the confidential nature of information obtained and to divulge such information only to authorized personnel.
6. Meet with Administrator daily to communicate on current admissions, discuss expectations and results of efforts made.
7. Maintain close personal contact with all referral sources.
8. Represent the center to the community in a professional manner and in a coordinated effort with the community relations team. (i.e., ongoing public speaking engagements, visits to hospital discharge planners, physicians, and insurance case mangers ;).
9. Coordinate and participate in Nursing Center events as appropriate (i.e., health fairs, family dinner, etc.).
10. Participate with insurance contract negotiations and assist in pre-admission cost out analysis of managed care and PPS referrals, as necessary.
11. Complete and provide census report daily to President and Administrator and any other designated personnel.
12. Keep current on competitor activities.
13. Focus community relations on those segments of the community most likely to have a need for the services of Spokane Health and Rehabilitation.

Salary/ Wage Range $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
