    The UAS Financial Aid department is seeking qualified candidates for the Financial Aid Associate Director position. This position utilizes highly complex and technical financial aid programs designed to assist students pay for their educational expenses. This position will help lead the management of major Title IV, Institutional and State Financial Aid programs including, Direct Loans, Federal Work Study, TEACH Grants and Veteran’s Affairs.

    This fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving program is a good fit for candidates with strong customer service and supervisory backgrounds and a passion for helping students achieve their goals while able to interpret federal and state laws and work as an influential part of a team. To thrive in this role, applicants should be able to communicate effectively, independently problem solve and be extremely detail-orientated.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years progressively responsible relevant experience and one-year management experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

    Position Details:

    This position is located on the University of Alaska Southeast campus in Juneau. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental, and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 81, based on education and experience.
