Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Sociology typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of a classroom. Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work day. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
