Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Psychology typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     Description:

    Our Award Winning Client's Space and Defense Group is a proven provider of high-performance and reliable space-rated avionics hardware and software. Products include control and data handling, power distribution, payload interface cards, mass memory, GPS receivers, motor and actuation drivers and controllers, and onboard computing.     Responsibilities:

    • Lead a matrixed team of up to 10-12 (possibly more).
    • Provide technical support and knowledge.
    • Select engineering tools.
    • Drive improvements in design processes.
    • Mentor and encourage new engineers.
    • Ensure adherence to required policies and processes within the engineering team.
    • Foster a culture of enjoying engineering design.
    • Review FPGA designs and provide engineering feedback to design architectures.
    • Encourage teamwork.
    • Measure and report progress toward on-time delivery goals.
    • Ensure the design project meets internal and customer requirements through policy and procedure adherence.

    Requirements:

    The education, skills, and attributes you'll need for this role:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
    • 10 or more years of design and development in FPGA design and test.
    • Demonstrated detailed knowledge of VHDL coding and optimization for performance.
    • Proven history of managing/leading people.
    • This position requires access to United States export-controlled information.
