Assoc. Professor - Nursing teaches courses in the discipline area of nursing. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Nursing provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Nursing typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. We are actively seeking candidates for a Tenure Track Nursing Faculty or non Tenure Track Faculty position.
Linfield University is a private, comprehensive undergraduate/graduate institution with a main campus in McMinnville, Oregon. The School of Nursing is located on our new campus in Northeast Portland. Approximately 400 students are enrolled in the on-ground pre-licensure programs with NCLEX pass rates above the national average. Oregon's first Master's Entry into Professional Nursing (MEPN) graduate program launched in 2023 for students entering the profession with a previous bachelor's degree. Nursing students have clinical experiences in a wide variety of healthcare facilities and in the innovative simulation program on campus. Our online RN to BSN program is highly rated and receives national recognition.

Required Qualifications
All faculty candidates must possess 1) a doctoral (tenure track) or master's degree (non tenure track) in Nursing, 2) an Oregon Nursing license (or eligibility for licensure in Oregon), and 3) three years of full-time nursing practice experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Evidence of effective teaching at the BSN and/or MSN level.
Previous experience in a higher education setting.
A terminal degree in nursing (PhD, DNP, or EdD)
