Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     • All applicants should have a terminal degree in Art or Art History.
    • Teaching experience at a university and/or professional level
    • Demonstrated ability to train, educate, motivate, and inspire students.
    •  Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other faculty across disciplines.
    • Effective communication skills
    Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Teaching art history courses --Survey of Western, History of Design, and Modern Art; directing independent graduate study in art history; directing graduate creative research documents; organizing and managing of permanent collection and maintaining the Orville Hanchey Gallery; engaging in community & University Service; and other duties as assigned in the School of Creative and Performing Arts. Maintains office hours, participates in assigned committee work and in scholarly and creative activities appropriate to the discipline. Advises and counsels students during required hours and at other times and settings as established by the Dean or Department Head. Maintains collegial relationship with peers and colleagues throughout the university. Additional responsibilities include participation in community and university service, advising and recruiting activities.
    Additional duties may be assigned by the Fine and Graphic Arts Department Head.
