Assoc. Professor - Economics jobs in Kansas

The Kelce Undergraduate School of Business at Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for an Visiting Assistant Instructional Professor of Economics, a one-year position for academic year 2024-25 with an opportunity to apply for a tenure-earning position starting in academic year 2025-26.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach twelve hours of economics courses per semester at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  Additional teaching during the summer term may be available. 
• Participate in University and College service. 
• Maintain faculty qualification consistent with an AACSB-accredited institution. 

Education and Experience

Required Education and Experience – Time of Hire

• PhD in Economics from an accredited institution of higher learning; ABD with an anticipated completion by August 15, 2024 will be considered. 

Preferred Education and Experience - 

• PhD in Economics from an accredited institution of higher learning; ABD with an anticipated completion by August 15, 2024 will be considered. 
• Teaching experience and record of scholarly work are highly desired. 
• Membership(s) in regional, state, or national associations related to teaching analytics is (are) desired.
• Candidates should have a strong commitment to teaching along with the ability and desire to develop a scholarly research program commensurate with the expectations of an AACSB-accredited institution.
