Assoc. Professor - Dentistry teaches courses in the discipline area of dentistry. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Dentistry provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Dentistry typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     Key Responsibilities:
    -Perform comprehensive dental examinations to diagnose and treat dental issues while keeping an emphasis on prevention. Provide a wide range of general dental services, including but not limited to fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, extractions, and preventive care.
    -Develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
    -Educate patients on oral health, treatment options, and preventive care.
    -Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
    -Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth workflow and efficient patient care.
    -Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development.
     
    Requirements:
    -Active New York State Dental License.
    -Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited dental program.
    -Ability to provide a full range of dental services.
    -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
    -Commitment to the highest standards of patient care and dental excellence.
     
    Qualifications:
    -Proven experience as a General Dentist.
    -Strong understanding of dental procedures and diagnostics.
    -Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex dental cases.
    -Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    -A patient-centric approach and excellent bedside manner.
    -Current CPR certification.
