    Our Award Winning Client is currently seeking a dynamic Senior Operations Supervisor to support our VIM (Vacuum Induced Melting) department within our Specialty Materials business unit. This pivotal role will be stationed in Monroe, NC.

    As a Senior Operations Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day operations and spearhead Continuous Improvement initiatives within the department. Previous drafting and/or engineering experience is highly desirable for this role.

    The ideal candidate will swiftly assimilate into our client's business ethos and processes, embody a Continuous Improvement mindset, and demonstrate adeptness in various drafting and engineering functions to drive enhancements and modernizations within the department.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise hourly employees in Furnace Repair, ensuring optimal performance.
    • Research and evaluate new equipment, tools, and processes for compatibility with existing systems.
    • Provide guidance, training, and direction to ensure safe and efficient equipment setup and operation, aligned with customer requirements.
    • Drive process improvement initiatives across all facets of VIM operations, including Safety, Quality, Company Policies, Production, and Operational Costs.
    • Foster the development and advancement of team members, preparing them for future growth within the organization.
    • Report pertinent concerns to upper management in adherence to company policy and ethical procedures.
    • Oversee certification and re-certification of employees for critical and non-critical operations.
    • Plan and organize work activities to facilitate smooth material flow and timely product delivery.
    • Handle disciplinary issues according to departmental and company protocols.
    • Take ownership of equipment, tools, parts, and workspace maintenance, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and functionality.
    • Demonstrate innovative problem-solving while adhering to Quality, Departmental, and Company policies.
    • Actively participate in generating departmental cost reduction savings through production and process improvements.
    • Maintain necessary production and operational records.
    • Willingly undertake scheduled or unscheduled overtime and occasional night shifts.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
    • 3 years of leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing facility.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Solidworks.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
