The School of Arts and Sciences of Gwynedd Mercy University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in biology to begin in August 2024. Primary teaching responsibilities will include cell biology laboratory, microbiology and anatomy and physiology for students in the health sciences, and additional contributions to the biology major. Additional responsibilities include mentoring undergraduate research, advising biology students, assisting in curriculum and course development, and exploring grant opportunities.
A Ph.D. in an appropriate discipline is required; preference will be given to applicants with experience in mammalian cell culture. Applicants must also provide evidence of excellence in teaching undergraduate courses, articulate an understanding of the value of a liberal arts education, and demonstrate a strong commitment to research with undergraduate students.
