Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will provide direct patient care and supervision to support elderly with dementia. In a residential care setting. Your role will involve management and training caregivers monitoring resident conditions, corresponding with doctors, families, hospice and homehealthcare services.
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician
- Monitor resident medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor resident vital signs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement resident care plans
- Educate residents and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques
- Ensure compliance with all Ttile 22 regulations and protocols
Skills:
- Proficient in medical records management and documentation
- Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and reimbursement processes
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
- Experience in home care, acute care, nursing administration systems, assisted living, or hospice care is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations with composure
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate administration of medications and treatments
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
-Posses and RCFE Admin Certification or willing to pursue one within the first year of employment.
