    The Job:

    We are seeking an experienced Assisted Living Administrator to join our team. The Administrator is responsible for overall management, coordination, and monitoring of all services offered in our Birch Grove (BG) Assisted Living community.

    You will oversee the day-to-day operations of Birch Grove and assist team members individually in their work, as well as their work as a team. The Administrator is responsible for ensuring that the quality of the services delivered and the quality of life for the residents is consistently excellent, and the upkeep and overall appearance of the resident living community is impeccable. The Administrator is responsible for compliance with all EOEA regulatory requirements.

    Duties:

    • Create and maintain a warm, cordial, and calm household environment.
    • Act as a liaison between residents, the community and family, coordinate and conduct regularly scheduled family meetings and support groups.
    • Create and distribute annual surveys to residents and families to determine level of satisfaction.
    • Coordinate with the Director of Health Services for the orientation of any third-party providers: dental, podiatry, home health care agencies and hospice.
    • Discuss observations/concerns about the care of the residents with Nurses and Aides on a timely basis.
    • Communicate and consult with Health Services team to ensure proper level of care is being delivered.
    • Participate in decisions regarding permanent or temporary transfers of residents.
    • Coordinate Dining, Activities and Housekeeping and interact with department heads on a regular basis.
    • Coordinate weekly work team meetings and conduct quarterly team training.
    • Work with Nurse Manager to maintain knowledge of and monitor resident records as necessary to ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Coordinate arrangements for campus wide regulatory required in-service; review and monitor the team’s attendance at scheduled trainings.
    • Participate in Sales Tours, as needed, and intro meetings with potential elders/family and gathering move in paperwork.
    • Interview candidates for employment, and complete new hire paperwork. Coordinate onboarding program for new hires, and any state regulated training.
    • Counsel/discipline employees as required, oversee/prepare schedules to assure compliance with staffing requirements and review, approve and submit payroll on a timely basis.
    • Coordinate and participate in the Quality Improvement and Assurance Program to evaluate operations and services with the goal of improving services and operations and to assure resident health, safety, and welfare on a quarterly basis (Ref: State Reg 651 CMR 12.04 (10)).
    • Meet operational budget and occupancy goals.
    • Demonstrate competency in the use of the household computer programs, lift systems and appliances.
    • Participate in meetings with Health Services team, Fox Hill Village (FHV) Director of Dining Services, FHV Director of Sales and Marketing, Director of Finance and CEO as necessary.
    • Perform additional administrative tasks as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent/relevant experience in human services management, housing management, or nursing home management
    • Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a nursing or health care related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a supervisory position.
    • Exceptional computer skills, with proficiency with Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and ALIS Healthcare system preferred.
    • Mastery of Assisted Living and EOEA regulations (guidelines governing resident care) preferred.

    Supervisory Requirements:

    • Responsible for overall supervision of staff working in Birch Grove, which include, but not limited to, Nurses, Aides, Food Coordinators, Life Enrichment Coordinators, and a Life Enrichment Assistant.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to move continually throughout the workday inside and outside the households; walking or standing 70% of day, sitting 30% of day.
    • Ability to perform repetitive motions such as bending, pushing/pulling, reaching, walking and standing.
    • Ability to occasionally lift residents from the floor weighing up to 150 lbs with assistance.
