Assisted Living Program Administrator oversees all activities of an assisted living program, including marketing, census development, and community relations.   • The Administrator oversees the overall operations of The Plaza community, they are responsible for establishing positive relationships, managing residential programs, maintaining regulatory compliance and growing The Plaza's success.

    The following are essential functions of the job:

    • Conducts and administers fiscal operations; accounting, planning budgets, authorizing expenditures, and facilitating strategic business plans.
    • Oversees and ensures to continually improve residents' quality of life and the community experience through better programming, care delivery, and customer service.
    • Operates community within budgetary guidelines and holds department managers accountable for operating within their perspective departmental budgets.
    • Reviews and analyzes community data to improve profit margins and executes risk management to improve service utilization.
    • Ensures Accounts Receivables (e.g. cash, resident trusts, etc.) are maintained in accordance with established standards, policies and regulations.
    • Communicates regularly with residents, families or representatives, staff, and vendors, maintaining a positive rapport, responding to community needs, promoting community wellness, and enhancing public relations.
    • Inspects community regularly and recommends building or equipment modifications to ensure emergency readiness, safety and sanitation regulations are met.
    • Supervises admission processes to ensure resident move-ins are executed seamlessly, within regulations and established standards and procedures.
    • Consults with nursing care staff, business office staff, department managers, and community groups to discuss service problems.
    • Maintains regular communication with home office, department managers, and nursing care staff to administer interdepartmental functioning.
    • Maintains an inventory of all community assets and equipment and ensures all manuals are properly maintained and accounted for.
    • Notifies home office promptly of any incident or issues incurred at community.
    • Oversees the accurate submission of all required reports as assigned by home office, regulatory officials and outside agencies.
    • Responds quickly to all emergencies; assist in fire drills and controls an evacuation during and actual fire or disasters.
    • Adheres to all employment requirements established in the Team Member Handbook, the Operating Policies and the Procedural Manuals.
    • Performs other duties as assigned (e.g. Blue Zones, Best Friends, etc.).

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Facilitates the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, and performance appraisal of ALL team members.
    • Sets a positive role model for team members through sound ethical conduct, professionalism, and fair treatment of all staff, emulates The Plaza's core values.
    • Directs, supervises and evaluates work activities, objectives and departmental goals for nursing, technical, clerical, service maintenance, and other staff.
    • Ensures fair and consisted disciplinary measures are administered at the community in accordance with applicable laws, policies and procedures.
    • Provides or coordinates training for all community staff members in provision to services and principles of assisted living facilities.
    • Ensures team member safety program is implemented and meets on a regular schedule.

    Requirements

    • Completion of an Assisted Living Facility Administrator course or equivalent course.
    • Two (2) year minimum experience in a management capacity; housing or health care services, personal care industries or any combination thereof.
    • State of Hawaii, Assisted Living Facility Administrator's license.
    • Current Tuberculosis Clearance.
    • CPR and First Aid Certified

    Starting Salary for the position is $90,000 per year; negotiable based on experience.
