Assistant Treasurer jobs in Georgia
Assistant Treasurer assists in the direction and management of an organization's treasury activities. Oversees and directs all aspects of daily treasury activities. Being an Assistant Treasurer ensures financial transactions, policies, and procedures fulfill the organization's objectives, needs, and regulatory body requirements. Assists with the corporate banking, credit, and investment functions. Additionally, Assistant Treasurer requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Assistant Treasurer manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Assistant Treasurer typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Treasurer
Calling all finance enthusiasts! As our Treasurer, you'll lead a dynamic team of 3-4 associates, spearheading treasury and cash management, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing. About the ROLEEach day at AssuranceAmerica is different, but as the Treasurer in Finance & Accounting, you will:• Oversee activities within the Finance & Accounting department related to treasury and cash management, both tactical (e.g., funding of payroll; timely payment to vendors and debtors) and strategic (e.g., optimizing liquidity to enhance investment income); preparation of schedules, reconciliations, cash flow reporting, and ad hoc reporting; trend analysis; and communication of such to senior management.• Own the relationship with our banking partner.• Supervise staff; hire, train, develop and terminate as appropriate.• Establish and maintain process improvements and internal controls relating to security, confidentiality, system integrity, and efficiency.• Support the efforts of other teams with the Finance & Accounting department as needed, which may include monthly financial reporting, annual budgeting and forecasting processes, Board reporting, etc.Requirements
About YOU• Communication and analytical ability at a level to interact with associates, managers, and vendors.• Demonstrated team building and coordination skills.• Must possess strong interpersonal, mathematical, and logic skills.• Must be able to meet deadlines.• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities for multiple stakeholders simultaneously and work independently.• Must meet company guidelines for attendance and punctuality.Required• B.S. in Accounting, Finance, and/or experience commensurate with such.• Three years of progressive treasury work experience, preferably in an insurance capacity.• In-depth knowledge of accounting software systems, preferably Workday or Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.Preferred• Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance.• Treasury certifications.Physical Requirements• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.• Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization's physical premises.Benefits
