Assistant Treasurer jobs in Alexandria, VA

Position Summary

We are looking to hire an experienced Assistant Treasurer to oversee the financial affairs of our organization, reporting to the Corporate Treasurer. To ensure success, you should have in-depth knowledge of accounting practices, a good understanding of banking rules and regulations, and excellent communication skills.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Weekly oversight of collections of all subsidiaries overseas.
• Assist in the monthly generation of treasury forecast and budget reports.
• Controlling and discussing monthly budget with each operation Manager
• Follow up of expenses allocation of each country operation and project
• Prepare monthly reporting and analysis generated from invoicing; make recommendations based on findings
• Review budget to actual expenses for each operation and analyze variances.
• Analyze each operations expense and ensure it is properly allocated on the general ledger Consolidate and prepare regular reports to Management on each operations operating expense.
• Support accounting team to identify and allocate by project and operation all expenses for Accounting entries and filling related if necessary.
• All other reasonable duties as assigned by the Corporate Treasurer.

Qualifications

Education:     Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field from an accredited institution. CPA

Experience:    Minimum five years professional experience; MS Office and ERP accounting system.

Other:             Fluency in written and spoken English is required, Spanish and French language skills a plus;  Strong interpersonal and communications skills are required. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, pay close attention to details, and manage deadlines.
