Assistant Treasurer assists in the direction and management of an organization's treasury activities. Oversees and directs all aspects of daily treasury activities. Being an Assistant Treasurer ensures financial transactions, policies, and procedures fulfill the organization's objectives, needs, and regulatory body requirements. Assists with the corporate banking, credit, and investment functions. Additionally, Assistant Treasurer requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Assistant Treasurer manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Assistant Treasurer typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. The Deputy Treasurer is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Treasurer’s Office and for accurate record keeping of said operations. Receipting, writing checks for county bills, transferring funds, depositing of funds, tax distributions, employee payroll, and maintaining proper balances between banks and county accounts are responsibilities of the Deputy Treasurer.
Washington County Treasurer's Department is seeking a Full Time Deputy Treasurer. Starting pay will be between $19.61-$22.06 The full salary range is $19.61 - $29.42
