Job Description:

As our Recreation Director, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Planning, organizing, and directing recreational therapy programs aimed at improving the quality of life for all residents.
• Working with residents at the bedside to engage them in specially designed activities.
• Assisting in the transportation of residents to areas where programs are being conducted.
• Documenting resident participation and progress in recreational activities.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Certification as a Recreation Therapist in accordance with the State's Public Health Code is required.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
• The ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Tactful communication skills when interacting with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
• Possess patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, with a willingness to handle residents at their current level of functioning.
