About the position:
Coordinate and lead activity programs for our residents and guests in Independent Living, working with the Community Life department
Oversees and assists residents with community programs
Accompanies residents at special events and outings
Assists residents with tasks and helps answer their questions
Assists in preparation of programs
May develop and coordinate independent resident programs
Keeps in-house resident app/website (Touchtown) up to date
Heavy phone usage and keeps event reservations organized
Directly works with residents and individually leads activities
Provides feedback regarding program development and resident activity schedule
Skills
and Qualifications:
Plans and organizes programs
Must prioritize and handle multiple program tasks
Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Canva is a plus!
Two year of recreation or related experience relevant in senior living or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above. Certification or specialized education and training relevant to the area of working with seniors is a plus!

Work schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
