Assistant Student Activities Director assists student activities director in developing, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive program that delivers quality and diverse campus student activities. Monitors activities of the student government and student clubs. Being an Assistant Student Activities Director typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a Student Activities Director. The Assistant Student Activities Director supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Shift Schedule: Part-Time, Friday - Monday

The non-negotiables:
- High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent required
- Must clear a criminal background check, a physical and drug screening
- Must have a valid driver license, a good driving record, and current auto insurance
- Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets and assisting in the care of community pets, including, but not limited to, dogs, cats, and birds
- Willing to demonstrate passion and ability to work with people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia-related disease
- Previous experience working with older adults and/or persons with memory-impairing diseases is desirable
What you'll be doing:
- Assists the Director of Resident Engagement with planning and implementation of resident activity programs daily
- Organizing & leading daily memory enrichment activities with a small group of residents
- Enthusiastically encouraging resident participation in activities and recreational programs and celebrating their achievements
- Preparing background materials and conducting relevant research for activities and recreational programs
