Nature of Work
Serves as the instructional leader of the school. Responsible for implementing and managing the policies, regulations, and procedures of the Cobre Consolidated Schools Board of Education to ensure that all students are achieving academic excellence and are in a supervised safe student-centered learning environment. This position reports directly to the Superintendent.
Duties and Responsibilities Performance Responsibilities:

that supports achievement, high-quality instruction, and professional development to meet the diverse learning needs of the school community.

Conducts classroom observations that are accurate and constructive.
2. Community/Stakeholder Involvement.
3. Communication-uses communication and relationship-building skills to engage the larger community in the knowledge of and advocacy for equity in meeting the diverse needs of the school community.
4. Professional Development- organizes and coordinates ongoing professional learning opportunities that are aligned with the New Mexico Professional Development Framework and supports the diverse learning needs of the school community.
5. Operations Management-manages the school campus, budget, and daily operations to equitably meet the diverse learning needs of the school community.
6. Scope of Responsibility-develops, supports, encourages and supervises programs that lead to increased student attendance, achievement and graduation rates resulting in college readiness and work skills to meet the diverse needs of the school community.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree in Education
2. Current New Mexico PED PreK-12 Administrative License.
3. Two to five years of secondary school teaching experience.
4. Must pass background checks.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Three (3) years of experience in an administrative role at the middle school level
2. Master's Degree in Education

Work Situation Factors
Position involves competing demands, performing multiple tasks, working to deadlines, occasional work beyond normal business hours, and responding to customer issues. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job to ensure continuity of services.
