Assistant Pharmacy Director assists department head in daily duties and assumes responsibility in his/her absence. Oversees pharmacists and provides pharmacy services. Being an Assistant Pharmacy Director compounds and dispenses medications and other pharmaceuticals. Typically requires a master's degree in pharmacy or doctor of pharmacy. Additionally, Assistant Pharmacy Director requires state Pharmacist License. Typically reports to top management. The Assistant Pharmacy Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Assistant Pharmacy Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Position Overview
Position Status: 20 hours per week
Salary Range based on experience and qualifications
Role
As an important member of our pharmacy team, you are responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Keep warehouse clean and organized
- Marking and labeling supply items
- Accept and process deliveries
- Take inventory and restock when needed
- Assist in organizing and shelving supplies
- Help gather items for deliveries
- Take daily deposits to banking institution
- Perform cleaning duties as needed
- Perform various administrative duties as needed (filing, copying, scanning, etc.)
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to use a computer, fax, and copy machine, and communicate by telephone.
- Lift up to fifty pounds.
- Able to safely operate a motor vehicle and maintain a good driving record.
