Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our team at Court Street Kitchen. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of pastries and desserts.
Duties:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, desserts, and breads according to recipes and established quality standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries using various techniques
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed to maintain freshness and quality
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new pastry recipes and menu items
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering ingredients and supplies as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or bakery setting as a Pastry Cook or similar role
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and plating
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of pastry orders
- Proficiency in using various pastry tools and equipment, including knives, mixers, ovens, etc.
- Creativity and artistic ability to create visually appealing pastries and desserts that adhere to CSK standards
