Der Bake Oven in Berlin, OH is looking for a pastry chef to join our team. We are located at 4766 St Rt 39. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and engaged. Morning Hours, No evenings or sundays.

Responsibilities

*Roll, knead, cut, or shape dough to form sweet rolls, pie crusts, tarts, or other products *Measure and weigh ingredients *Prepare pastries and desserts according to recipes *Clean and sanitize work station and equipment

Qualifications

*Experience working as a pastry chef or similar role *Dedicated to working with a team towards one goal *Attention to detail in all aspects of the kitchen area *Highly adaptable to various situations and stress levels

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays. Compensation is $15.00 - $20.00/hour.

About DER BAKE OVEN: Der Bake Oven has been in the same location in Berlin Ohio, in the heart of Amish Country, for 27 years. Ruth Mast has been the owner for the past 23 years after working for the previous owners since 1987. When the opportunity came up to buy the business in January 1997, Ruth purchased it. Owning and operating a bakery/cafe shop has always been a dream of Ruths. She came from a big family of Bakers per say. "My grandpa and grandma had an in-home bakery and my Aunt Emma also had a bakery". Ruth would go and help them out in the summer time as a young girl. She just loved seeing those fresh baked rolls and breads coming out of the oven. The aroma was delicious as Aunt Emma would say.
