Assistant, Controller jobs in Ohio

Northern Haserot is looking for an experienced accounting leader to join us as an Assistant Controller. This position would be responsible for providing department leadership and mentoring support staff.

Responsibilities include:

• Communicate with customers, vendors, and company employees on multiple accounting topics.
• Responsible for trial balance accuracy and content through year-end audit
• Perform basic and intermediate accounting tasks.
• Analyze financial statement content and record appropriate adjustments.
• Responsible for fixed asset accounting and sub-schedules
• Business process - responsible for all electronic financial transactions for the company
• Support company and department projects as assigned.

Skills Required

· PEOPLE MANAGEMENT – Manage and guide staff in the art of collecting while maintaining customer relationships.

· PROBLEM SOLVING – Ability to solve complex problems involving business processes and technology solutions. Accuracy is critical to the success of the individual.

· SYSTEM MANAGEMENT – Manage and run internal and external software systems utilized in the credit department.

· BUSINESS ACUMEN – Intermediate and advanced understanding of Accounting/Finance functional areas and processes.

· COMMUNICATION – Ability to effectively communicate via written, 1:1 and group communication.

Minimum of % years accounting work experience in a leadership role, 4-year college degree required.
