Local retail tire and automotive repair business looking to hire full-time oil change technician. The store is open Monday through Saturday and closed on Sunday. Typically, oil change technicians work 5 of the 6 days and have a scheduled day off during the week. It is expected oil change techs work around 46 - 48 hours per week and overtime is paid in accordance with law. JOB DUTIES
Basic oil change duties.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment including wearing safety glasses AND following all federal, state, and location safety regulations. Attend safety meetings and report any safety concerns to management.
Ensure tools and equipment are working properly and report issues to management. Ensure chemicals and other liquids are stored and handled properly
Provide friendly and quality customer service and follow written and oral instructions from management.
Assist with inventory counts and verifications. All other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
In an automotive shop environment, you may be exposed to the following fumes: tire and brake dust, oil fumes, gasoline fumes, solvent fumes, cleaner fumes, and fumes related to automobiles. There are occasional slippery surfaces, uneven concrete floors, and a noisy environment that comes from automotive work.
