Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring client safety at all times
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for clients
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Assist with memory care for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
- Provide end-of-life care for clients in hospice
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare practices is a plus
- Experience in meal preparation and cooking is beneficial
- Familiarity with memory care techniques for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease is desirable
- Understanding of assisted living and hospice care principles is advantageous
