Assistant Campus Recreation Director administers and promotes all non-varsity, club (intramural) sports and wellness program. Plans and organizes campus-wide recreational programs for all students, faculty, and staff. Being an Assistant Campus Recreation Director may supervise student staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Assistant Campus Recreation Director typically reports to Campus Recreation Director. The Assistant Campus Recreation Director supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Fascination Station Assistant Director - Summer 2024
MSCR or Madison School & Community Recreation is Madison’s public recreation provider. We offer everything you would find in your typical community rec department in an accessible, inclusive setting. Programs include swimming, arts & enrichment, adult & 50 fitness, sport leagues, outdoor pursuits and more. As a department of the Madison Metropolitan School District(MMSD), we also provide afterschool and summer programming in Madison elementary, middle and high schools.
Program Description:
Join our team for a fun, exciting and enriching summer. Fascination Station are half day camps for 4 year olds through 5th graders. Each half day, week long session takes an in-depth look at a specific theme or interest area. Campers have the option of coming for the morning, lunch break, afternoon, or any combination of the three.
Job Description & Duties:
Program Dates: Full time hours begin 6/10-8/9/24. Additional training dates in May.
Work Location: 6/10-7/12/24 at Muir Elementary, 7/15-8/9/24 at Lowell Elementary
Hours/week: 40 hours per week.
Work hours: Five 8 hour shifts per week between the hours of 8am and 5pm.

Payrate: 17.00 - 17.00 /hour

Bilingual Spanish a plus.
American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR and First Aid certification desired.
