Asset/Liability Analyst gathers and analyzes data used in the development of programs and/or models that evaluate the organization's asset/liability strategy. Monitors and reports on interest rate risk and liquidity risk. Being an Asset/Liability Analyst assists in the development and deployment of strategies designed to mitigate these risks. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Asset/Liability Analyst typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Asset/Liability Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. In this role, you will work with staff in all aspects of survey research and instrument design. We ask our Analysts to coordinate internal research needs with the operations and programming departments, conduct candidate and issue research, write reports and memos, and present findings. You will draft survey questionnaires, focus group guidelines, and in-depth interview guidelines. At times projects will require you to assist our junior staff with base level tasks like proofing data to ensure accuracy. PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN POLITICS AND POLLING IS A MUST.

     

    In addition to research and analysis, you will also act as a project manager for our clients. You will serve as back-up point of contact, and will work with senior staff and clients to ensure project needs and timelines are met.

     

    As an Analyst at GQR, you will receive mentorship and training to help you grow your skills and network for personal and professional development. We will look to you to be a leader, offering ideas and demonstrating to clients the knowledge and value that you bring to our team. Our Analysts also serve as mentors on our team, helping to guide and support the growth of our junior staff through direct mentorship and hands-on training.

    Hours:

    Standard hours in our DC office, Monday – Friday, 9am to 6pm.  Additional hours and availability as needed

    Please note that this is an in-office position, 5 days a week.


    Travel Requirements:

    Domestic travel as needed to observe and analyze focus groups


    Special Equipment and/or Stipends:

    Company issued laptop

    Personal use cellphone stipend


    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant field (including, but not limited to, political science, public policy, international relations, statistics, math, business)
    • Three to five years experience with quantitative/qualitative political research, or experience with political campaigns is preferred
