Assembly Supervisor jobs in New Mexico
Assembly Supervisor supervises a manufacturing production line that assembles fabricated parts. Creates daily work schedules, follows standard manufacturing procedures, and monitors work to meet product specifications and production targets. Being an Assembly Supervisor resolves production problems and answers workers' questions about processes, methods, or equipment. Delivers training for new processes or equipment and onboard new employees. Additionally, Assembly Supervisor conducts quality testing on completed assemblies to validate tolerances and product specifications. Reviews daily assembly production records to identify trends or potential performance issues. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Assembly Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Assembly Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Requires:
- Ability to perform basic math, read, and understand measurements.
- Ability to read and understand part, component, and job instructions.
- Ability to create and maintain records.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening).
- Must be able to lift 40lbs.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must have high school diploma or GED, documentation required for verification.
