Overview:
Black Dahlia Tattoo Artist and Company is a brand new tattoo studio located in Urbana, MD. We are combining the relaxing feel of a spa with the fun and creativity of an art house. All art and murals in the studio are done by our tattoo artists and local up-and-coming artists. We offer permanent makeup services, done by our Owner Ellie Schell, as well as tattoo services. We are seeking a talented and experienced Tattoo Artist to join our team. As a Tattoo Artist, you will have the opportunity to showcase your artistic skills and create unique and personalized tattoos for our clients. Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients to understand their tattoo ideas and preferences
- Create custom designs based on client requests
- Provide guidance and recommendations on tattoo placement, size, and color options
- Sterilize and sanitize equipment and work area to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Perform tattooing procedures with precision and attention to detail
- Ensure client comfort during the tattooing process by maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
- Educate clients on proper aftercare instructions for their tattoos
- Maintain accurate records of client information, including design details, appointments, and payments
- Assist with store management tasks as needed

Skills:
- Proficient in illustrating and creating unique tattoo designs
- Strong sales skills to effectively communicate with clients and upsell additional services or products
- Knowledge of color theory to create visually appealing tattoos
- Expertise in tattooing techniques, including shading, linework, and color blending
- Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment according to industry standards
- Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive experience for clients
- Effective communication skills to understand client preferences and provide clear instructions
- Knowledge of first aid procedures in case of any emergencies

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
