Description

A variety of shifts including nights and weekends and holidays are required.
Summary: Your duties will include, but may not be limited to:
keeping accurate medical records, clerical work, client education, promotion of hospital products and services, and direct support of the hospital administrators and other team members. This requires a practical knowledge of Art City Vets procedures; policies and services; client and patient treatment protocols; data transcribing; word processing; and the standard procedures, records, and terminology used in the veterinary hospital.
Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Floor Supervisor include, but are not limited to the following activities:
- Maintaining and supporting a positive client experience.
Being present on the floor in a management capacity to support all employees with any questions or issues as they arise. This includes responding to and resolving client and employee questions and conflicts as they arise.
Assist with day-to-day oversight of the hospital functions – assigning roles to team members and keeping the flow through the departments.- Evaluate the daily schedule to anticipate patient arrivals and efficiently plan tasks accordingly.
- Ensuring daily checklists and responsibilities are being completed by all employees. Delegating tasks as needed.
- Be observant on the floor and take notice of client wait times, making sure clients are checked-in and checked-out in an appropriate amount of time, and that employees are on task.
- Cover gaps in the schedule, breaks, etc.
- Monitoring lobby and exterior appearance to make sure employees have been cleaning the lobby and picking up trash on the outside of the building as outlined in the daily employee checklists.
- Perform and keep accurate records of daily cash-box counts, deposits, and cash-box exchange for Art City Vets. Follow up daily with the Cash Requisition cross checking our operating platforms to confirm accurate transactions.
- Assisting department managers with various administrative tasks, including but not limited to checking all Slack channels and EzyVet to ensure nothing is overlooked, sending records back to patient’s rDVMs, various weekly audits, etc.
Assisting the department managers with training (both classroom style and on the floor training).
Work well with all team members and ensure that actions support the hospital, the doctors, and the practice philosophy.
Proactively identify solutions to overcome unexpected volume, delays, staffing shortage, etc.
Monthly meetings with Hospital Directors and department managers.
Weekly meetings with the department managers for coaching.- Check ACV email on a regular basis to ensure timely communication with management and staff.
- Complete ACV Shift Report and email it to management on a daily/nightly basis.

Mentor and work with departmental staff to ensure an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual respect.
Lead by example, enforce hospital policies while on the floor and act as an example for the rest of the staff.
