Atelier Fine Art Services in New Castle, Delaware is seeking an eager, qualified and responsible Night Security Person for a full-time overnight position at our New Castle, Delaware location.

Atelier Fine Art Services and Storage is a full-service fine art services company with locations in New York, Philadelphia and Delaware. Atelier works directly with major cultural institutions, prominent private collections, auction houses as well as major national and international galleries. Atelier FAS has several museum-quality storage facilities on the East Coast, and employs staff in the areas of Client Services, Logistics, Operations, Art Handling, Registration, Fabrication, Storage and Security.

Reports to: Director of Security

Full Time - Hourly (With Benefits)

Work Schedule: [3] 12-hour shifts a week - 7:00pm to 7:00am

Pay rate: $16 - $20 hr

Responsibilities:

Main Duties
Night security duties will consist primarily of keeping watch and patrolling of Atelier FAS properties after hours for intruders, hazards that might cause a fire, water damage or other issues. This includes on-site surveillance and monitoring via CCTV of additional locations. In addition to watching Person will look for signs of illegal entry, checking for unlocked or damaged doors and windows. Night security staff members will patrol two sites and will respond to any alarm activations.

Deterrence of Crime
The presence of this person will offer some measure of deterrence against unlawful activities, Guards at a security desk can monitor live feed from surveillance cameras that are strategically positioned throughout the premises. Night Security will be in charge of enforcing company policies, especially regarding security. They will need to exercise discretion in granting authorization to enter or exit a building and conduct security
screenings to ensure that no person intending to commit an unlawful activity such as theft, vandalism, robbery or arson is allowed in or out.

Provide First Response
This Night Security person will be the first to respond to incidents and emergencies. If an incident is observed on the premises, it is their duty to address the situation appropriately. If a person is attempting to gain unauthorized entry, for example, the security person removes them from the premises. This person will also answer phone calls from our security monitoring company as well as our fire alarm monitoring company and respond accordingly.

There are times, however, when additional help is required, such as when the security person witnesses a crime or responds to an emergency. They will either call the police and report the situation, or request emergency medical services.

Shift Administrative Duties
Night Security person will also have administrative tasks such as preparing daily logs and monthly reports on the status of a property's security. Since a night security person is often the first person visitors encounter, they must be approachable, knowledgeable and they should offer necessary guidance. Night Security personnel also maintain a record of all activities observed on the premises to keep the Director of Security apprised of any
security situation and advise on any further measures that should be taken.

Requirements:

• Ability to operate security and safety equipment such as CCTV camera systems, intrusion/burg. Systems, phones and other surveillance tools.
• Basic computer skills, namely in buildings that have computer-assisted security measures.
• Good communication skills - especially in stressful situations
• Keen sense of judgment and ability to identify situations and how to respond quickly
• Ability to work autonomously while being an active member of the team
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation and mode of communication
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Willingness to participate in background check
