You will play a critical role in managing the end-to-end design workflow, from initial art selection to the creation of error-free proofs and production-ready art files. Your expertise will ensure that our custom apparel stands out for its quality and creativity.

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of Designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Conduct regular team meetings to discuss objectives, progress, and address any concerns or issues. Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations and handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
• Team Training: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and competencies.
• Collaboration: Streamline communication between Customer Service Representatives and Designers to enhance collaborative efforts, speed up the design process, and ensure customer specifications are met accurately and timely.
• Art Database Management: Regularly update and maintain a comprehensive and fashionable art database. Research and incorporate the latest design trends, ensuring a varied and appealing selection for our customers.
• Design Proofing: Oversee the creation of accurate and detailed design proofs for customer approval. Ensure that all designs adhere to specified requirements and quality standards.
• Production Art Preparation: Ensure that all art files are prepared correctly for production, meeting all technical specifications without errors.
• Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their vision and requirements. Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and service.
• Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures throughout the design and production process to prevent errors and ensure product excellence.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or related field.
• Proven experience in art management, preferably within the apparel industry.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a keen eye for design and trend awareness.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering error-free work.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with both clients and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Performance Indicators

• Average Time for Customer to Receive Proof: Monitor the average time it takes from proof request until the customer receives the design proof.
• Designs Sent to Shop vs Errors: Calculate the ratio of designs sent to production vs designs returned due to errors.
• Art Creation and Curation: New designs added to the art database.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $62,400.00 per year
