Art Manager manages the creative design and execution of visual communications to meet an organization's marketing or advertising objectives. Provides internal clients with design standards, tools, and guidance on communicating corporate image, branding, and identity. Being an Art Manager oversees the design and production operations of all visual elements including publications, infographics, and social content, that are deployed across digital, interactive and print. Monitors projects and timelines. Additionally, Art Manager stays current on latest trends. Develops and manages a network of vendors, freelance artists, and designers to utilize for project support. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in art, graphic design or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Art Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Art Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Big Task

    The Warehouse and Inventory manager will be responsible for overseeing Art Plumbing, Air Conditioning and Electric s Warehouse and inventory

    Responsibilities

    • Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock.
    • Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment.
    • Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse.
    • Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leaders.
    • Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees.
    • Keep up-to-date on the latest federal and state safety regulations
    • Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner.
    • Excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage conflict.
    • Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening.
    • Great interpersonal skills
    • Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving and strategic planning abilities.
    • Exceptional time management and organization skills
    • In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices for the warehouse
    • Familiarity with bookkeeping, inventory control practices and logistics
    • Comfortable using inventory management software and other organizational computer applications.
    • Physical strength, stamina, and the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.

    Competencies for Success

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Advanced Excel knowledge
    • Must have a current valid operator s license class of license as needed for size of truck(s) needed to operate and must have good driving record.
    • Self-starter/resourceful - able to independently work, learn & plan with minimal guidance to drive tasks to conclusion
    • Experience with inventory management software
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with store teams, finance team and upper management
    • Ability to use financial metrics to accurately read and diagnose business performance. The ability to use all levers to maximize key performance metric outputs
    • Capable of learning on the fly with a focus on problem-solving
    • A self-motivated leader who is accountable for one s work
    • Strong attention to detail, especially when dealing with data
    • High degree of action orientation and strong negotiation skills

Requires strong mechanical skills and attention to detail. Must maintain neat appearance (company uniforms) and good hygiene. Must be able to work on several projects at once and be able to handle frequent interruptions, from coworkers, customers, the telephones.

    Regularly requires sitting, walking, bending, and lifting for prolonged periods of time.

    The employee must have a full range of body movements including the use of hands feet and fingers to handle or feel objects. Able to handle and use tools and equipment and must be capable of bending, reaching, crouching, climbing and crawling.

    Must have command of all five senses sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus. Must hear and speak well enough to conduct business over the telephone or face to face for long periods of time.

    Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds on occasion.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This position will require working indoors and outdoors in various climate conditions ranging from very cold with rain to very hot and humid. This includes attics, crawl spaces, and confined locations. The employee may be called upon to be in customer or service production sites on an as need to basis. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

    The work is primarily performed on the company premises, which, along with the company vehicles, are non-smoking areas. May occasionally be required to work on and make deliveries to customer job sites. There may be possible exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, moderate to high noise levels and/or moving mechanical parts.

    Typical workweek is eight (8) to ten (10) hour workdays five (5) days per week with regular weekend work, as well as early and/or late weekday meetings with customers, vendors and staff personnel as needed.
