Being an Art Manager oversees the design and production operations of all visual elements including publications, infographics, and social content, that are deployed across digital, interactive and print. As the assistant manager at Art’s, you will supervise baristas and work-study students while communicating to maintain a high standard of store operations. In this position, you will assist in training, customer service, product knowledge, and education, and maintain safe work practices while positively reinforcing successful performances and giving constructive, respectful, and encouraging feedback. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and stocked environment; assisting the store manager in providing fast, efficient, and friendly service; and proactively solving customer issues.
In this position, you will be responsible for estimating food and beverage costs and requisitions, reviewing financial transactions, monitoring the budget, and conferring with food preparation and other personnel to plan menus and related activities such as dining room, bar, and banquet operations. As the assistant manager, you are accountable for store funds while running a shift, ensuring all cash handling procedures are upheld. Additionally, you will inspect all food and food preparation to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations. It should be noted that Art’s also sells a variety of SCAD-branded apparel, gifts, and stationery goods.
