There are a lot of various tasks to be done at Maine Art Hill, especially "in season" (June-September); it is a fun, fast-paced environment! We all pitch in with the daily runnings of our 3 different buildings and are looking to train someone in various areas to help make things run smoothly. We have eight 4 week-long shows this year starting May 25th with opening receptions every 2 weeks so there is a lot to do!
General responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
If you have a particular interest in a certain aspect of the business (sales, social media management, content creation, exhibition display, marketing etc.) we are very happy to work with you on honing these skills and delegating such responsibilities to you!
We are looking for someone who works well within a small team but is also self-motivated.
We field interest and questions from a variety of clients and guests all day long so a positive, friendly demeanor and the ability to multi-task (put down a special project to speak with visitors, because they are the priority!) is a must.
Both part-time, (20-30 hours), and full-time (40 hours) positions are available. We are open 7 days/week 10 am-6 or 7 pm so this requires you to work at least one weekend day each week. This is a seasonal position with the potential opportunity for a day of work here and there in the "off season" but primarily will last May/June-August/September/October.
