Art Director directs and develops the creative design and execution of visual communications to meet an organization's marketing or advertising objectives. Provides internal clients with design standards, tools, and guidance on communicating corporate image, branding, and identity. Being an Art Director leads the design and production operations of all visual elements including publications, infographics, and social content, that are deployed across digital, interactive and print. Stays current on latest trends. Additionally, Art Director develops a network of vendors, freelance artists, and designers to utilize for project support. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in art, graphic design or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Art Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Art Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Overview/Position Summary

    We are seeking a confident and self-motivated candidate who is committed to spending the time & energy to leverage knowledge, active learning insights and applications to increase education sales (K-12 & Higher Education) in the Color Art defined territory and plan. This individual will manage and develop new business opportunities, service existing clients and increase overall customer satisfaction.


    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


    Business Development

    • Work with VP Customer Success to develop yearly go-to market strategy and plan. Develop marketing campaign to support the go-to market strategy. Work with Director of Marketing to implement marketing campaign.
    • Achieve agreed to business development goals in assigned Vertical Market. Reach Vertical Market business development goal and add new business accounts.
    • Achieve KPI's min 80%. We will develop agreed to weekly KPI's as follows: # FTM's - First Time Meetings; # of Network Events attended or BDL's; New Opportunities added # / $; Leads Added #; New clients added (bookings) #/$. We will identify appropriate numbers for each agreed to KPI.
    • Find/Leads/Qualify is the identified process for business development. Find new opportunities at accounts or projects we have not done business through networking, lead clubs etc.; Develop those findings into leads where we are engaging the client and moving to next steps in sales process; Qualify these accounts and smoothly transition to Account Management. Maintain relationship and engage in process as needed.
    • Ensure that CRM is updated on a weekly basis.
    • Budget, plan & attend appropriate vertical market events, conferences, and trade shows that link to business results. Track results for these events and conferences.

    Vertical Market Expert

    • Develop and deliver Vertical Market Value Proposition & Story internally and externally.
    • Develop and deliver Color Art & Steelcase differentiators.
    • Attend Steelcase Sales COP for your vertical. Share information with team.
    • Educate clients on Steelcase vertical market research and applications.
    • Develop relationships and be knowledgeable of partner manufacturers and relevant manufacturers to your vertical.
    • Research and introduce new manufacturers based on gaps in your vertical product representation.
    • Manage, maintain, and develop the Color Art showroom area for your vertical.

    Contract Expert

    • Develop, manage, and leverage relationships around Vertical Market contracts.
    • Present and share contract knowledge internally and externally with customers.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a field related to sales or design.
    • Proven experience in sales and/or design, with a focus on educational furniture solutions- dealer experience preferred.
    • Ability to establish and nurture positive and productive relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, fostering an environment of trust and collaboration.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration.
    • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with experience in external partner/vendor collaboration, leadership, and team management.
