The Currier Museum of Art seeks a Director of Facilities to manage the operations and staff responsible for institutional capital, engineering, buildings & grounds maintenance, and safety functions. Duties include supervising the activities of maintaining and repairing the mechanical areas of the museum environment, including ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, lighting, humidification, and temperature controls.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
5-10 years of facilities management experience, preferably in a museum or other cultural institution.
Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical engineering principals regarding HVAC operations and maintenance.
Proficiency in current relevant technology and monitoring systems.
Solid financial skills and experience effectively managing resources and capital budgets.
Experience managing relationships and the work of contractors and outside vendors.
Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to supervise, support and empower staff to achieve desired results.
Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate and work well at all levels of the organization,
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with a team orientation and ability to collaborate across departments.
Creative thinker and problem-solver. Consensus builder.
Superior organizational skills with a high attention to detail; proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and work on high lifts.

Proficiency with Advanced MS Office suite.
