Art Director directs and develops the creative design and execution of visual communications to meet an organization's marketing or advertising objectives. Provides internal clients with design standards, tools, and guidance on communicating corporate image, branding, and identity. Being an Art Director leads the design and production operations of all visual elements including publications, infographics, and social content, that are deployed across digital, interactive and print. Stays current on latest trends. Additionally, Art Director develops a network of vendors, freelance artists, and designers to utilize for project support. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in art, graphic design or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Art Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. OVERVIEW
We are seeking a talented and creative leader to join our team. You will be responsible for creating visually appealing designs that effectively communicate brand message and lead/mentor the creative team. You will collaborate with the marketing team to develop engaging graphics for various platforms and projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create visually appealing designs for print and digital media, including brochures, flyers, social media graphics
-Experienced in website design, photography and 2D animation is a plus
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute creative concepts
- Ensure brand consistency across all design projects
- Incorporate color theory and visual design principles into your work
- Collaborate with photographers to select and edit images for use in designs
- Assist with logo design and branding initiatives
EXPERIENCE
- Four year degree from an accredited college or university is required
-Proven experience as a Graphic Designer in a professional/ advertising agency setting for 3 years minimum
- Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or similar role
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, layout, and color theory
- Knowledge of typesetting techniques and best practices
- Familiarity with web design software such as Squarespace, Wix, Wordpress, etc. is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Artistic ability and creativity to develop unique and innovative design concepts
- Understanding of market trends and consumer preferences (UX/UI)
- Knowledge of Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro is a plus
