Art Director Assistant assists the Art Director with all phases of design projects to ensure successful project completion. Monitors work through all stages of pre-production and production and facilitates solutions to any issues that may arise. Being an Art Director Assistant reviews the work of videographers, photographers, designers, and graphic artists. Requires knowledge of typography, layout, color, and visual communication. Additionally, Art Director Assistant requires a bachelor's degree of art or design. Typically reports to Art Director. The Art Director Assistant gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Responsibilities:
Gain a thorough understanding of the client’s business and industry.
Develop creative strategies and ideas that are culturally relevant.
Concept and execute advertising consistent with the agreed-upon strategy.
Develop original visual concepts.
Seek out and work with outside suppliers (photographers, illustrators, etc.) and work closely with broadcast and print productions to accurately estimate and produce work.
Talent to inspire clients and team members with great visual design
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger team in a fast-paced environment
Review proofs, rough cuts, etc. for accuracy before final production.
Strong conceptual abilities, solid art direction skills, and a knowledge of the digital landscape
Good client presentation skills demonstrating a clear vision of how the work addresses the client challenge
Desire to take on new challenges, grow and learn everyday
Qualifications:
Be based out of, or willing to relocate to, Pittsburgh PA (relocation assistance is offered)
Demonstrated ability to think creatively and provide marketable solutions in conceiving,
developing, and producing tactics.
Bachelor’s degree or industry equivalent years of experience required.
1 years preferred related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
