Art Director Assistant assists the Art Director with all phases of design projects to ensure successful project completion. Monitors work through all stages of pre-production and production and facilitates solutions to any issues that may arise. Being an Art Director Assistant reviews the work of videographers, photographers, designers, and graphic artists. Requires knowledge of typography, layout, color, and visual communication. Additionally, Art Director Assistant requires a bachelor's degree of art or design. Typically reports to Art Director. The Art Director Assistant gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. OVERVIEW
We are seeking a talented and creative leader to join our team. You will be responsible for creating visually appealing designs that effectively communicate brand message and lead/mentor the creative team. You will collaborate with the marketing team to develop engaging graphics for various platforms and projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create visually appealing designs for print and digital media, including brochures, flyers, social media graphics
-Experienced in website design, photography and 2D animation is a plus
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute creative concepts
- Ensure brand consistency across all design projects
- Incorporate color theory and visual design principles into your work
- Collaborate with photographers to select and edit images for use in designs
- Assist with logo design and branding initiatives
EXPERIENCE
- Four year degree from an accredited college or university is required
-Proven experience as a Graphic Designer in a professional/ advertising agency setting for 3 years minimum
- Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or similar role
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, layout, and color theory
- Knowledge of typesetting techniques and best practices
- Familiarity with web design software such as Squarespace, Wix, Wordpress, etc. is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Artistic ability and creativity to develop unique and innovative design concepts
- Understanding of market trends and consumer preferences (UX/UI)
- Knowledge of Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro is a plus
