Art Director Assistant assists the Art Director with all phases of design projects to ensure successful project completion. Monitors work through all stages of pre-production and production and facilitates solutions to any issues that may arise. Being an Art Director Assistant reviews the work of videographers, photographers, designers, and graphic artists. Requires knowledge of typography, layout, color, and visual communication. Additionally, Art Director Assistant requires a bachelor's degree of art or design. Typically reports to Art Director. The Art Director Assistant gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Duties & Responsibilities:

     

    • Participate in regular client-facing presentations
    • Help foster an energetic, team-centered work environment
    • Stay current on design, campaign and social trends
    • Work closely with other agency teams to ensure client goals are achieved
    • Be a self-starter and create your own, proactive creative opportunities
    • Strive to become a travel industry expert
    • Think idea first, then design 
    • Prepare and organize your work to present to the Creative Director
    • Occasional out-of-town travel required

     

    Qualifications:

     

    • Bachelor's degree, associate’s degree or industry equivalent and at least 2 years of equivalent work experience
    • Advanced understanding Adobe Suite Skills; After Effects, illustration skills are a plus
    • Proven design, conceptual ideation and typography skills
    • Strong time management, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent problem-solving skills 
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
