Monitors work through all stages of pre-production and production and facilitates solutions to any issues that may arise. Being an Art Director Assistant reviews the work of videographers, photographers, designers, and graphic artists. Requires knowledge of typography, layout, color, and visual communication. Additionally, Art Director Assistant requires a bachelor's degree of art or design. Typically reports to Art Director. The Art Director Assistant gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. License/Certification Required N/ADescription of the Department or Unit The Studio Art area of the Department of Art offers a BFA in Studio Art with concentrations in printmaking, drawing and painting, fibers, metals, ceramics and sculpture. There are more than 110 Studio Art majors and more than 110 Art minors. Studio Art faculty also play a central role in providing coursework for Art Department majors in Art Education, Graphic Design, and Art and Visual Culture, and participate in offering general education courses for non-majors across campus.The Department of Art is accredited by NASAD and has 45 full-time faculty members, 22 part-time faculty members, over 750 undergraduate majors and offers degrees in Art Education, Art & Visual Culture, Graphic Communications Management, Graphic Design, Photography, and Studio Art.Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Teach three courses per semester (9 credit hours)
- Sustain creative/scholarly research in the field of studio art
- Participate in departmental and university service, including collaborating with Studio Art colleagues on curriculum, program development, and student advising

The candidate's salary will also be reduced to a lower rate commensurate with other full-time instructors in the same department. However, if degree verification is provided before the end of the one-year fixed-term contract, the candidate will be returned to the rank of assistant professor with commensurate compensation beginning July 1 of the following academic year.
No ABD consideration: Only candidates with an earned doctorate or terminal degree from an accredited institution will be considered for the position.
