Art Director Assistant assists the Art Director with all phases of design projects to ensure successful project completion. Monitors work through all stages of pre-production and production and facilitates solutions to any issues that may arise. Being an Art Director Assistant reviews the work of videographers, photographers, designers, and graphic artists. Requires knowledge of typography, layout, color, and visual communication. Additionally, Art Director Assistant requires a bachelor's degree of art or design. Typically reports to Art Director. The position of Assistant Director of Admissions is responsible for functional operations within the Admissions Office. These functional operations include: development and implementation of budgets; recruitment strategies; new student admissions and orientation, records maintenance; enrollment verification, and international student recruitment, enrollment and orientation. This position reports to the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid.
The Assistant Director of Admissions serves prospective students, all applicants, all current students (both credit and non-credit), former students, faculty, staff, administration and the general public with an emphasis on prospective and new students. These constituencies are served in person, by phone/fax, by mail and by electronic communication including social media. This department serves as the information hub and often the first contact point with the public. Numerous publications are also developed from this office to provide current and promotional information to our various audiences.
Typical work environment is an office setting requiring normal safety precautions. Extensive interaction with the public is required. Short periods of time will be spent outdoors traveling between campus buildings in various weather conditions. Travel is required for this position, during which time the employee will be subjected to various environmental and weather conditions. Work is usually performed during the normal workday however, early morning; late evening and weekend work is required during periods of critical attendance to meet the peak periods related to position responsibilities and requirements of the Enrollment Services department.
Employee is regularly required to sit and stand for long periods of time, speak, hear, use hands and fingers to handle materials and use computer, feel, and reach with hands and arms. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required; less frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.
