Architect is responsible for performing design computations, compiling data, and completing rudimentary architectural assignments. Works from the designs of others to prepare sketches, preliminary drawings, and schematic designs. Being an Architect prepares project estimates and completes architectural plans/renderings following specific instructions. Prepares reports and specifications as requested. Additionally, Architect may participate in an architectural internship or professional development program. May be working towards obtaining architecture license. Requires a bachelor's degree in architecture. Typically reports to a manager. The Architect work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Wildman Chalmers Design is a small, highly collaborative studio firm looking to hire a creative, detail-oriented project manager architects and senior architects (at least 8 years of experience). Responsibilities will include: developing architectural drawings for use in both client presentations and construction documents; attending meetings with clients, consultants, contractors and vendors; participating in existing conditions surveys and architectural base plan preparation; material and product research; addenda, clarification sketches, submittal reviews and jobsite meetings during construction administration.
Requirements:
- Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
- 8 years of relevant professional experience, residential experience is preferred
- Collaborative, resourceful, disciplined & quick-learning
- Experience with a broad range of project types preferred
- Strong passion for both design and the technical aspects getting a project built
- Proficiency in AutoCAD required; experience with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and
