Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) conducts residential real estate appraisals to establish the market value generally used for lending, insurance, or other purposes. Follows standard processes for conducting on-site property inspections, data collection, and research relevant market conditions required to perform valuations. Being an Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) investigates the quality of the construction, the overall condition of the property, and the surrounding location. Uses generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Additionally, Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) utilizes appraisal software tools and databases. Ensures that reports comply with required policies, formats, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. May require the Member of the Appraisal Institute (SRA) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a manager. The Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     • Maintain and update listings on various platforms, ensuring accurate and compelling property descriptions.
    • Build and maintain relationships with clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
    • Stay informed about local zoning laws, property taxes, and regulations affecting real estate transactions.
    • Participate in community projects our team is involved in, several times per year.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma required. Associate's college degree preferred, but not required.
    • A valid Maine Sales Agent, or higher, license. If you are still in or recently passed the exam, and are selected for this position, you are eligible for reimbursement.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Community-minded is a requirement. We do several community projects each year and participation is expected.
    • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work under pressure.
    • Comfortable learning and using a variety of real estate software and tools.
    • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed in sales.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
    • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Passion for real estate and helping clients achieve their goals.
