Follows standard processes for conducting on-site property inspections, data collection, and research relevant market conditions required to perform valuations. Being an Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) investigates the quality of the construction, the overall condition of the property, and the surrounding location. Uses generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Additionally, Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) utilizes appraisal software tools and databases. Ensures that reports comply with required policies, formats, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. May require the Member of the Appraisal Institute (SRA) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a manager. Job Summary
Busy eminent domain land acquisition affiliate firm seeking a full-time certified real estate appraiser. The ideal candidate will have proficiency with appraisal software and comfortable with modern technology. The candidate must be a problem solver, competent in both oral and written communication.
This position will involve completing appraisal and consulting assignments for all types of property (commercial, industrial, residential, farm and vacant) and all types of property interests (fee, permanent easements and temporary construction easements) in the Northern Illinois market area with a focus on market analysis and proper documentation in accordance with Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) requirements.
