At their most complex, they are multi-purpose systems that gather information from dozens of different sources. The information is presented to decision makers immediately, visually, clearly. In support of these initiative NOVA is seeking a Senior z/OS Systems Security Programmer. *Position is contingent upon contract availability* Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Ensure that all information systems are managed, operated and used IAW DISA STIGS and other applicable policies and procedures. * Support all Access Control Facility (ACF2) RACF, Top Secret Security (CA TSS) Access Control Products (ACP) utilized by the information systems * Use DISA approved tools to plan, conduct, review, analyze and correct findings in support of STIG reviews Security Readiness Reviews (SRR). * Use DISA approved applications/tools to track the security posture of managed assets. * Provide technical oversight and consultation regarding security risk management posture of managed assets. * Provide audits and inspection of the government to include attending meetings, participating in review with auditors and providing artifacts and evidence. * Coordinate and assist technical support staff in the installation, maintenance and security on all system products. * Perform security reviews on new products to ensure compliance with DISA se-curity requirements. * Create and maintain access and account profiles for both individual and system resources. * Provide detailed plan and methodology for implementing and maintaining ac-cess controls for each assigned ACP. * Develop and publish testing plans for implementing controls as well as docu-menting actions for continued maintenance and review. * Review audit reports and records IAW policy and report deviations of security practices * Promptly report security violations IAW with specific security requirements for reporting incidents and violations. * Develop, plan and implement processes for managing the life-cycle of certifi-cates on information systems. * Use DISA approved tools and follow policies for Change, Incident and Service Requests. * Provide support and documentation for the creation, maintenance, implementa-tion, and enforcement of all DoD, DISA and site-specific security policies, pro-cedures and processes. * Provide required support for disaster recovery COOP exercises. This includes creation, interpretation, and updating documentation of COOP/disaster recovery processes and procedures to perform tabletop simulations and actual recovery of IBM Mainframe platforms. * Other duties as assigned.
