Additionally, Applications Support Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Applications Support Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Our growing practice includes 214 radiologists, 44 advanced practice providers, and more than 200 employees providing administrative support in our wholly owned subsidiary STARS. We provide services to more than 60 different sites across the state of Michigan.


    What we are looking for: We are hiring for Clinical Applications Support roles to work from 9:00am to 6:00pm, which also includes a weekend rotation every 4th weekend and rotating holidays. These positions will include the daily technical, operational, and clinical workflow of the Distributed Radiology (DR) environment to ensure the highest level of service to physicians, hospital clients, and patients that we serve. This is a performance based remote position; must be located within 1 hour of Grand Rapids, Michigan. 


    Responsibilities:

    • Resolve missing images, reports, exam notes.
    • Provide report information via phone and fax.
    • Addendum, deletions, priority change and status change requests.
    • Assist in training new and existing Distributed Radiology users.
    • Monitor the DR environment workflow, infrastructure and connectivity to clinical facilities using the provided tools to identify issues and problems with the routine flow of patient data.
    • Ensure all issues are logged, tracked and resolved using the Helpdesk ticketing system.
    • May also perform preventative maintenance on workstations and communicate with internal or external IT personnel to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues.

    Requirements

    • Associate’s degree with a minimum of one year of experience in Customer Service, Radiology or Information Technology
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel required and prior knowledge of the PACS system is highly preferred
    • Excellent communication skills via phone, email, instant message and face-to-face interactions
    • Must be located within 1 hour of Grand Rapids, Michigan
